POP3/IMAP Email Accounts

Mailbox Email Accounts are available as either POP3 or IMAP accounts. POP3 means that emails are downloaded to your computer from the mailserver, after which they are typically deleted from the mailserver, whilst IMAP lets you download the emails but also set folders and other settings which are synchronised across your various devices (e.g. on your computer and smartphone). Using an email client such as Outlook or Windows Mail, you can have your emails delivered direct to your computer or smartphone and send and receive emails to a yourname@yourcouncil-pc.org.uk email account.
